Glamour Girl of the Year Competition Rules
The competitors and winner must meet and adhere to the following rules and regulations in order to participate in the competition and /or hold the Glamour Girl of the Year title and claim/retain the prizes .
| You must be aged 18+ |
The contestant will be required to confirm that she meets the rules of the contest and provide proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate and passport.
- Contestants must be a minimum of 18 years of age to enter this competition (there is no upper age limit).
- Contestants must be a resident of the United Kingdom for at least 6 months or hold or be eligible to hold a valid British or Irish passport.
- Contestants can be married /divorced and can have children.

| Conduct |
- Contestant must never have nor will she during her reign pose for any photography, video or film associated with pornography, or implied pornography nor has she ever or is presently involved with any type of employment involving pornography.
- Contestants must not been subject to any criminal conviction within the past 12 months, with exception of minor driving or parking offences and must not at time of entry be subject to a probation, community service or ASBO order, or have any conviction pending for 12 months from date of entry.
- Contestants must not undertake activities or behave in a manner that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute.
- Contestants are permitted to wear hairpieces and/or hair extensions.
- No Supporters may be permitted to accompany Contestants backstage.
- No men will be permitted within the changing room area or be permitted backstage without an official backstage pass which must be worn and visible at all times and the permission of the Organisers and subject to such rules as may be agreed between the Organisers and the operators of the venue at which the area Semi-Final or final is taking place.
- All contestants are to behave in a fit and proper manner at all times. Any contestant and/or family member or guest showing less than sportsman like behaviour will lead to the disqualification of the contestant and no refund will be given under these circumstances.
- The judge’s decision is final and correspondences from contestants or supporters will not be entered into.
- Attempts to bypass the restriction on online voting limiting votes to one per area per computer may result in the Contestant being expelled from the competition without notice.
- Contestants agree to abide by all rules and regulations of Glamour Girl of the Year competition.

| Rights and Promotional Arrangements |
- Participation in glamour Girl of the Year may require the Finalists to attend a photo shoot with the organiser’s photographers and their favourite picture to be shown to the judging panel and audience.
- Contestants agree to be photographed and/or filmed (in any media) during the Area Semi-Finals and the Final, and with any Sponsors, venue operators and the Organiser all rights to any photographs, videos, films or other media of the Contestants (including the title winner of Glamour girl of the Year any runners-up) shall vest in the Organiser and each Contestant grants the Organiser full authority and licence to use all such material for publicity purposes in connection with all Glamour Girl of the Year competitions, publicity for the web site and the fundraising Calendar and any way the organiser sees fit without requiring any further consents.
- Images provided by the Contestants are displayed on the website with the understanding that the Contestant has the right to allow their display with no consideration due. Contestant's entry images are accepted on the basis that any charges due to copyright infringement are paid by the contestant. The Organiser reserves the right to remove or obscure any attribution/branding/logos on supplied images.
- The winner of the Glamour Girl of the Year understands that for one year from the date of the final, her professional affairs as Glamour Girl of the Year will be under sole management with the Glamour girl of the Year organizers unless she is already represented by a recognised ALBA A- listed Model agency whereby management will be shared between her agency and the competition organiser provided she is signed to an agency at the time of entering this competition.
- The winner also confirms that she will not give any written or verbal endorsements commercially using the title Glamour Girl of the Year without the expressed permission of Glamour Girl of the Year organisers in writing.
- The winner further acknowledges that all rights for any appearances, endorsements, modelling, promotions, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc. resulting from winning the Glamour Girl of the Year title shall belong exclusively to Glamour Girl of the Year organisers.

| Prizes |
- The National winner must attend next years final to hand over the title to the new winner.
- The National winners must be available for all personal appearances and modelling / promotional contracts offered to her by Glamour Girls of the Year and their associate clients and agents over the next 12 months with mutual agreement of her agency if a professional model.
- All prizes won by contestants are strictly non-exchangeable. The competition organisers reserve the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.
- The National winner and all 11 Glamour Girl of the Year Runners up, plus the Area Semi-Final winners agree to have photographs taken with all prizes for use by the sponsors. These photographs will also be published on the Glamour Girl of the Year website and the event organisers’ site albamodel.info.
- All contestants must agree to be interviewed by the press (if required) and have their photographs taken without objection.

| General |
- Any contestants who are chosen to take part in the finals must give 3 weeks written notice if they are unable to attend the final. We regret that refunds cannot be given under any circumstances if this is not done and the refund will be minus the sum allocated as a charity donation.
- Contestants must ensure that the information given on the entry form is true and factual. Contestants found to have given false personal information will be removed from the competition. The organisers have the right to replace selected contestants if they are deemed unfit to participate in the competition and no refund will be given.
- All contestants must be present at all rehearsals and training sessions as requested by the organisers relating to the competition. contestants will forfeit their participation in the event of absenteeism
- Dress code for the events - Girls in the Area Semi-Finals and grand final of competition will be required to wear an evening dress/gown of their choice along with the Glamour Girl T Shirt with their own Jeans for the prejudging and press call. The evening dress/gown must be a single outfit, skirts & tops are not acceptable. You MUST bring a dressing gown with you to wear when walking from the changing rooms to the main room in your bikini/lingerie. If you fail to bring a dressing gown you will have to hire one at a cost of £10.
- Area Semi-Finalists will be provided with a sash for the Final event and it is the contestant’s own responsibility to keep their sash safe. There are no replacement sashes available on the day. Crowns & tiaras are not permitted to be worn by contestants.
- Glamour Girl of the Year and or any of its employees shall not be held liable for any mishaps, accidents, injuries or loss of property that may arise during the competition.
- Contestant understands organisers of Glamour Girl of the Year reserves the right to change the dates & location of the Area finals and National final
- All Contestants acknowledge that all rights in Glamour girl of the Year are vested in the Organiser/promoter albamodel.info.
- The Glamour Girl of the Year organisation will have the right to remove the Glamour Girl of the Year title from the winner if in the sole opinion of the Promoter/organiser, the winner brings the name of the organisation in to disrepute.

SAVE THAT the Promoter in its absolute discretion may waive or amend any of these conditions (if in his/her opinion such waiver or amendment is conducive to the successful running of the Contest).
For the purposes of these Rules:
“Contestant” means each person accepted by the Organiser as eligible to participate in the Contest, who signs an entry form.
“Contest” means the Glamour Girl of the Year Contest.
“Supporter” means any member of the family of a Contestant or other person accompanying or supporting a Contestant at any audition or Final.
“Audition” means any of the events arranged by the Organiser.
“Final” means the final of Glamour Girl of the Year to be held in Summer 2009.
“Organiser” means Alba Model Information or any of its subsidiary or associated companies.
“Winner” or “Glamour Girl of the Year” means the Contestant placed first in the Final.
By entering the competition, you agree you have read and understood the rules and regulations and agree to abide by them in full.
